I have always been interested in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and as I educated myself about it in the past 2 years, I came to the realization that our non-inclusive society is limiting autistic children, and unfortunately, it all starts at the heart of education in Jordan. Although there is a high percentage of children with ASD in Jordan, our schools and education systems, even in private schools are not built to suit the needs of these children; starting from their personal comfort on school grounds. Hence, I decided to design a model for a sensory integration therapy room that suits all children with ASD (any of the conditions).
My goal was to ensure comfort and provide a safe space for these children during school hours. In addition, with features like sensory toys, comforting furniture and colors, a light room and sensory equipment, I worked towards incorporating sensory integration therapy into my sensory room through which autistic children, especially those with SPD, can increase their focus, release any negative energy, and enhance their sensory integration.

My goal for my personal project was to educate my Jordanian community about the importance of protecting human rights, through publishing a book (writing collection) of my own that emphasizes the fact that human rights should not be treated as privileges. After a long journey full with research, investigation, planning, and creative writing I was able to write a book titled with the name: “In a World Of Ours” which gives an overview of what human rights are about, and how important they are in order to be able to achieve fairness and development. I really hope that it leaves a mark on every reader’s heart.

"After volunteering in Downtown Amman during the summer of 2019, I was fascinated by its liveliness, yet troubled that we as a community do not cherish such places that reflect our rich culture enough.
This inspired me to create a short film highlighting the beauty of Amman that we overlook, and the ways of life that we have neglected. I saw that such a project can be eye opening and refreshing for the citizens of my city. I chose to convey my message through photo and video since it has been a major interest of mine since I was very young. I’ve always believed that every single angle serves a specific purpose and can engage and impact an audience greatly."

“Planet Earth and mother nature are consistently providing humans with life and an abundance of richness that exceeds our needs however ungrateful we may be. However, witnessing the depletion of the ecosystems made me come to the realization that we should support our planet and give it the attention it needs. Accordingly, I decided to become the voice of the Earth by writing a song titled “Suffocating.” On Earth Day, April 22nd, I dedicate my song as a message from our planet to all people.
