Guest Speakers to Support the Units of Inquiry
Mrs. Hana Nimeh and Mr. Ala’a Abbasi
Grade 2 students enjoyed learning about the different ways they can take action to help the environment as Mrs. Hana Nimeh and Mr. Ala’a Abbasi shared different ideas on how they can recycle, reuse and reduce waste.

استضاف الصّفّ الثّاني السّيّد علاء عبّاسي والسّيّدة هنا نعمة اللّذين تحدّثا عن تجربتهما الشّخصيّة نحو البيئة، وكيف استطاعا تعديل ممارستهما اليوميّة بحيث تصبّ في الحفاظ على البيئة، منطلقين من شعار "بيئتي تعكس ثقافتي". وقد خرج الطّلّاب والطّالبات من هذه الاستضافة بأفكار مميّزة وسهلة لفرز النّفايات في المنازل وإعادة تدويرها، وترشيد استهلاك البلاستيك والمواد المؤذية للبيئة
Human Resources and Accounting Department
In support of our unit “How We Organize Ourselves”, Grade 2 students met with the Human Resources and Accounting Department to discuss their roles and responsibilities in the school.

Siraj Center
Grade 2 students hosted “Siraj Center” to explore the different types of environments and build them out of clay. This learning experience was part of their unit of inquiry “Sharing the planet”.

قام الصّفّ الثّاني باستضافة مركز سراج، وذلك بهدف التّعرّف على أنواع البيئات المختلفة، ومن ثمّ تمثيلها باستخدام الصّلصال، ويعتبر ذلك جزءًا من خبراتهم التّعليميّة في محور نتشارك الكوكب
Ms. Wafa Al Gareer - Greater Amman Municipality
المهندسة وفاء الغرير من أمانة عمّان
Grade 2 students met with Ms. Wafa Al Gareer and discussed the different responsibilities of the Greater Amman Municipality.

Grade 2 students hosted and listened to the poet Dr. Rabiha Al Refaie as she shared her writing journey and some tips for becoming a poet.

Engineer Suhair Amareen
المهندسة سهير عمّارين
Grade 2 students hosted Engr. Suhair Amareen and enthusiastically inquired about her work. She discussed and compared the architecture of old houses with the new houses and informed them about all the different materials used in building them. The students also enjoyed learning about greenhouses.

Grade 2 students hosted Engr. Ohoud Kamal and actively discussed eco-friendly houses and how natural resources are used in building homes. They also inquired about the characteristics of smart houses.

مبادرة همّة ولمّة
Grade 2 students met with “Himmeh w Lammeh” team and discussed their initiative. Students participated in different activities related to preserving the environment.

يوم التّغيير
As part of their unit of inquiry, Grade 2 students met with professionals who decided to pursue a career different than their education. Students learned about the cause and effect of the professionals’ decision and how it changed their lives.
قام الصّفّ الثّاني باستضافة لبعض الشّخصيّات في يوم أطلقنا عليه "يوم التّغيير"، حيث أجاب الضّيوف عن تساؤلات الطّلّاب والطّالبات حول التغيير الّذي حدث في حياتهم وما ترتّب عليه من نتائج وقرارات
How We Express Ourselves
يوم الفنون
Grade 2 students organized a career day at school in which authors, dancers and artists shared their careers, as a way to introduce the new unit titled “How We Express Ourselves”.
نظّم الصّفّ الثّاني يومًا بعنوان "يوم الفنون" حيث تمّت استضافة نخبة من الفنّانين المتميّزين في مجالات مختلفة، ويعبّرون عن أنفسهم بطرق متنوّعة، تضمّنت: الرّسم، والتّصميم، والرّقص، والغناء، والتّأليف، والتّطريز...؛ وذلك تمهيدًا لبحثهم في محور كيف نعبّر عن أنفسنا، وقد تطوّرت مهاراتهم التّواصليّة خلال ذلك
